Thank you for your prayers.

I'm going through a big rethink.
It's actually a metamorphosis.
Alot of my thoughts and practices
are changing shape.
Some of this is about giving things away.
It sounds nuts,
but I believe it's what God is saying right now.

God called me to be a giver,
not a taker.

I'm a very rich man,
and I have a lot of
spiritual wealth.
Jesus said to me,
"freely you have received,
freely give."

Oddly,
the folks who have caused
me and Belonging House
the greatest harm
in the past two decades
have been committed to the
conventional
ministry model.
They just don't "get" what I am doing,
and they measure this work
by the old measuring line:
bums on seats,
budget numbers,
and notoriety.
Sadly,
we live in a world
where celebrity equals credibility.

A lot of what happens in the church world
is about being a taker not a giver.
God told Moses to the tell the people
Do not come before the Lord empty handed.
Social media and online consumption
breeds a taking attitude.
"What's in it for me?"

And that ministry model,
mixed with "marketplace"
is extreme dangerous
and addictive.
"Give me more
so I can go
faster,
harder,
longer,
and then give me more"
Forget about the fruit.

The fruit is what's most important.
And when I look at Belonging House,
I am so grateful.
God is giving us good fruit.

I'm grateful for
four years of the Daily Prayer Furnace.

I'm grateful for the House of Artisans
and the ever growing podcast audience.

I am grateful for the testimonies
of people who were healed from PTSD.

I am grateful for the young artists who are
walking the path I pioneered,
are seeing success and miracles,
and are having an easier time than I did.

I am grateful for the global
audience for my writing:
thirty-five countries and growing.

I'm grateful for the recent tech upgrade:
Macbook Pro, phone, and iPad.

I am grateful for my presence in London.

I am grateful.

Thanks for reading my writing.
Thanks for taking the time.
If it helped you,
share it with others.

This week is Thanksgiving in the United States.
I have so much to thank God for.

We are truly blessed.

God is really good.

Happy Thanksgiving.
